Begin Using Vista

Logging in:

1. The URL to access Vista is: http://ecollege.lonestar.edu/58143/
   
   
2. Click on the Vista Login Button.
   
   
3. Login using your eCollege or Network username. eCollege Password Management Tool
     
   
4. If you plan to use WebDAV or Respondus, you will need to complete a Request for a WebDAV/Respondus password for Vista.
   
   Start Building Your Course template:
   
   
5. Click on the Content Manager Tab, then the Template Manager Tab.
   
   Using the Vista Template Manager tool, you can begin building your course(s) within a course (template).  Using the template, allows you to design and develop your course without student access, and at your convenience.
   Shortly before each new term, Vista will be automatically populated with all course sections that are in the Colleague system.  You will no longer request courses nor add students.  Students will have access to all course sections that have been assigned a template on the start date recorded in Colleague.
   
   
6. Navigate to your course folder, i.e. ENGL1301. You will notice that the tree includes your division number, i.e. 101, 203, 502, etc. This number will be important if you need to contact the helpdesk.
   
   
7. Click on the Create Template button. Name your template using this convention: Subject - Course Number - Lastname - Date. This will help us find your template if you need our help.
   
   
8. Add content, tasks and assessments.
